Sugunamma Memorial Meeting

Several spokesperson said that it is necessary to carry forward the ambitions of Sugunamma who fought to give life to the deprived groups. Telangana armed struggle warrior, famous communist leader Sakamuri Sugunamma commemoration meeting was held on Sunday in Hyderabad, Kondapur, CR Foundation, Indrajit Gupta Hall. CR Foundation honorable presidents, CPI national secretary Dr. K attended this meeting. While speaking Narayana said that Sugunamma death is an irreparable loss to women's movements. Sugunamma reminded that she worked for the movements till her last breath. Narayana said that she participated in her movement not with the idea of what society has given to us, but with the idea that what we have done to the society.

CPI senior leaders of Kandimalla Pratap Reddy spoke and said that Sugunamma who lived an exemplary life to become a fighter. Sugunamma has paved the way for the coming generations how to do movements. He said her whole life was tied to communist movements. Sugunamma, who hails from Bhuswamya family, has experienced many difficulties during the movement, says her husband SVK Prasad has participated in the movement as a companion, her last wish is to unite the communists.

Telangana State Media Academy Chairman K Srinivas Reddy while speaking said that people are strongly demanding that both communist parties to unite, and that is Sugunamma's wish. Why is the central government not doing self-criticism. Srinivas Reddy wished that this issue should be discussed thoroughly.

CR Foundation president Muppalla Nageswar Rao spoke and said that he followed the Sugunamma movement path from childhood, and her sacrifices were inspirational to them. Sugunamma has reminded many times that we cannot see a society without communists. It was said that it would be good if Sugunamma was alive till the closing meeting of CPI centenary celebrations to be held in Khammam district on December 26. If there is a powerful movement in the future, with the inspiration of Sugunamma, they will work to bring the unity of the left parties into practice.

CR Foundation Secretary, Ex MLA Palla Venkat Reddy spoke and reminded that Sugunamma led movements by bringing consciousness among ten people. Palla Venkat Reddy recalled Sugunamma 15 days ago that CPI leaders met her - Ratnakar and the last words he spoke to her on that day. With which ambition Sugunamma came from feudal family, they said that they will work towards achieving that ambition. Palla Venkat Reddy said that the women's movements are declining, the new youth are not coming forward, and action should be taken to move the movements forward.

C.R foundation treasurer V. Chennakesavarao coordinated this program, CPI senior leader Prempavani, CPI (M) state secretary group member T. Jyothi, C. R Foundation Polyclinic director Dr. K. Rajani, NFIW Telangana State Secretary Nedunuri Jyothi, Sugunamma's daughter Dr. Sakamuri Shobha, sons Dr. Sakamoori Ravi, Sakamuri Ramesh, Sugunamme's guardian Jilani and others reminded the history of Sugunamma movement. Earlier, leaders paid tribute to Sugunamma's picture by putting garlands on them. CPI former MLC PJ Chandrasekhar Rao, CPI senior leader BV Vijayalakshmi, C. R Foundation Women Welfare Center Director J. Kalpana, Director of NRR Research Center Dr. à°ŸT. Suresh, member k. Jyosna, Aidwa state vice president Indira and others participated.
