NRR Centre report on Gigworkers

NRRR Centre team has handed over a letter and report with policy recommendations to Labour Minister Sri Vivek Venkataswamy at his residence in Somajiguda along with CR Foundation General Secretary, Ex MLA Sri Palla Venkat Reddy, CPI MLC Nellikanti Satyam and Dr. Neelam Rajasekhar Reddy Research Centre Director T. Suresh babu has handed over together.

Neelam Rajasekhar Reddy research centre conducted a seminar on gig economy for the first time in India. Kingshuk sarkar, ex labour commissioner of west bengal govt, shri sheikh salahuddin, leaders of gig labour federation, Dr. PSM Rao, economics and social problems experts, AITUC leader B.Venkatesham, and gig workers of organizations like Uber, Ola, Swiggy, Zomato participated in this seminar. The conference, designed for researchers, experts, and advocacy, focuses on the challenges, opportunities, and policy solutions of gig workers.

The Minister suggested that the Gig Workers Protection Act brought by the Telangana Government should be studied and make more suggestions.
