A condolence meeting to mourn the demise of Well-known Telugu story writer and recipient of the Sahitya Akademi award Smt. Abburi Chaya was held on 6th July, 2019 , at "Home for the Aged", CR Foundation, Kondapur, Hyderabad. Sri Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, Ex.MP, Honorary President of CR Foundation presided. Prof. SV Satyanarayana, Vice-Chancellor, Telugu University, Dr. Aavula Manjulatha, former Vice-Chancellor of Telugu University, Sri Parakala Prabhakar, former Advisor, Govt. of AP, Smt. Volga, Poet-writer, Dr. Chennakesava Reddy, former prof. of Telugu University, Sri Shriram from Jiddukrishna Murthy Centre spoke at the meeting. The audience consists of many writers, literary scholars and inmates of home for the aged run by CR Foundation and others participated.. Sri Palla Venkat Reddy, Ex. MLA, General Secretary, CR Foundation made closing remarks while Smt. M. Padmavathi, niece of Smt. Chayadevi spoke on behalf of their family members. Smt. Chayadevi had lived in the Home for the Aged run by CR Foundation since 2012 till her last breath. Sri V. Chennakesava Rao, Treasurer, CR Foundation conducted the meeting while Sri Chennamaneni Venkateswar Rao and Sri PJ Chandrasekar Rao, Ex. MLC, Secretaries of CR Foundation are on dias.
