Cancer Screening camp

Cancer awareness and screening camp successfully conducted at CR Foundation, Kondapur, Hyderabad

In order to combat early detection and rising risk of cancer disease, a comprehensive cancer awareness and screening camp was held at Chandra Rajeswararao Foundation (CRF) in Kondapur. The camp was organized in collaboration with CR Polyclinic, Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute and Rotary Club of Greater Hyderabad.

The camp was inaugurated by CR polyclinic director Dr. K. Rajani, CR polyclinic CEO D. Srinivasarao, CRF old age home director V. Chennakesavarao and Basavatarakam Hospital Senior Medical Consultants Dr. Prabhakar - Radiologist, DMV's Dr. Renuka, Dr. Soumya, Dr. Abdul Manager conducted tests.

The camp was organized along with a panel of other dignitaries including Dr. Prerana and a special staff.

On the occasion of the opening ceremony, celebrities stressed that early detection remains the most effective tool in the fight against cancer. CRF general secretary and former MLA Sri Palla Venkata Reddy said that such camps are very essential to reach out to the poor who do not have the highest level of diagnostic facilities in the society. A significant number of people participated in the medical camp reflecting the growing concern of cancer prevention and health in the society. Specialised medical teams have provided comprehensive screenings for various types of cancers using advanced diagnostic protocols provided by Basavatarakam Hospital. Comprehensive medical examinations were conducted for around 130 people, including senior citizens and middle-aged individuals. Those diagnosed with early symptoms in the exams were provided with recommendations for further medications and specialized further care.

Dr. Rajani, Director of CR Polyclinic, praised the technical expertise brought by the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital team, reiterated their commitment to supporting community health initiatives and Rtn.M. Vijaya Bhaskar. Director of Community Service Rotary Club of Greater Hyderabad also thanked.
