Awareness camp on Cyber Traps

Leading IT experts have suggested that the elderly and women should be vigilant not to fall into the trap of cyber criminals. A special awareness conference on cyber security was held on Tuesday as the platform of Chandra Rajeswararao Foundation (CR Foundation) in Kondapur.
Rithika Veda, Rishitha Enugula, Sneha Meruva, Bhagyashree Billu, who are working as software engineers in the city's leading IT companies have undertaken this program.
Highlights from the conference:
*Types of Cyber Frauds: Explained various types of frauds (phishing, OTP frauds, fake calls) committed by cyber criminals targeting the elderly, women.
* Precautions: Key precautions such as not clicking anonymous links, not sharing personal information were suggested.
*What should the victims do? : Gave awareness on the immediate steps to be taken in case of cyber fraud and how to file a complaint.
In this session, which lasted about an hour and a half, even the most difficult subjects are understandable to common people, explained with interesting examples.

Speakers bought the CR Foundation social services, which not only provides shelter for around 140 elderly people, but also provides skill development courses for poor women. Foundation members and ashram residents specially appreciated the young engineers who conducted this awareness conference with social responsibility even amidst their busy schedule.
