The 73rd Independence Day of India is celebrated at CR Foundation today. Sri Chennamaneni Venkateswara Rao, Secretary, CR Foundation hoisted the national flag at Home for the Aged run by CR Foundation. Students of Vocational Training Centre and Staff of Home for the Aged enthusiastically participated by singing patriotic songs, in the programme. Veteran Journalist Sri ABK Prasad addressed the gathering. He said that the Indian independence was achieved by the concerted struggles of all secular forces and people of India. Home for the Aged resident Smt. Seethadevi, wife of teachers' leader late Sri Paladugu Bhimasankar Rao donated Rs.1,000/- to each the children of CR Foundation staff amounting to Rs.16,000/-. She donated this amount on the occasion of 94th Birthday of late Sri Bhimasankar Rao. Sri V. Chennakesava Rao, Treasurer of CR Foundation, who conducted the programe, thanked for her gesture. Sri P. Ramireddy, freedom fighter recited patriotic poems written by him.
